Which photographer doesn’t remember his first purchased camera? I still have my Olympus OM 707 with the power grip and 3 frames per second. In 1986 I shot my first motorcross Grand Prix Proud something that me made like a peacock. But also imagine my first wedding, without any camera- and basic photography knowledge. Much has changed since then. The cameras and lenses available to the photographer have so much more options. On the other hand, images have to be delivered to the customer much faster because they already have to be online during the break. Internet and social media, we can no longer live without it.
After 15 years of mainly photographing baseball I started to focus on sports photography in 2015. In the beginning I mainly shot a lot of rugby but quickly followed by almost every sport you can imagine. In the past period I had interesting sports in front of my lens; international rugby matches in the Netherlands and abroad, Amsterdam 7s, rugby, beach rugby, Jumping Amsterdam, MXGP, European Championship Baseball, field Hockey, cycling, basketball, soccer, budo sports, korfball, obstacle runs etc. For me every sport is a challenge that I like to accept in every way
